Parenting isn't always easy or fun, especially with a child who is anxious, aggressive, moody or with unpredictable behavior. This is why I've put together my list of 6 tips for parenting… any child, really!
My 6 Tips summarized:
Tip #1 Watch and learn from your child’s behaviors. Do your best to note what happened just before the behavior occurred, whether it's a food he ate or an interaction with a sibling, child or adult.
Tip #2 (at 13:47) Take five minutes for yourself in the morning, before going to your child, for some peaceful deep breathing. I guide you in a form of deep breathing in the video.
Tip #3 (at 18:10) You are the parent! You set the rules. You give your child what you want them to eat, tell them the house rules, set and keep bedtime, and be consistent, not wishy washy. Stand in your own power.
Tip #4 (at 22:43) Instill a calming nighttime routine for your child.
Tip #5 (at 24:58) Create and keep a known routine throughout the day. Post this where you child can see and refer to it throughout the day.
Tip #6 (at 25:45) Instill Special Time. Watch the video where I define Special time and give some examples of how to do it and the benefits.
